Peter Wilson-Smith advises a range of clients on strategic communications and reputation management at Meritus Consultants, for which he was awarded the ‘2017 Outstanding Contribution to City PR and Communications Award’ from the Public Relations and Communications Association.
Prior to his work as a consultant, he worked as a journalist covering the financial service industry. Peter was one of the founders of Financial News, worked for the BBC for five years as well as for The Independent, The Times and Daily Telegraph.
Educated at St Catherine’s College, Oxford with an MA in English Literature, Peter is on the governing council of the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation and is chairman of the Oxford School of Drama.
He was a trustee and member of the investment committee at the Paul Hamlyn Foundation (2005-15) and is currently a director of the Salzburg Global Seminar.
