Jutta Cordt has been President of the Federal Oﬃce for Migration and Refugees in Nuremberg (BAMF) since February 2017.
After studying law from 1983 to 1989, she was initially a trainee for the higher service at the State Labour Oﬃce of North Rhine-Westphalia in Dusseldorf and then head of department for the employment oﬃces in Duisburg and Hagen for seven years.
In the years 2001 and 2002, Jutta Cordt ﬁrst worked as a consultant for personnel development at the headquarters of the Federal Employment Agency (BA). After that she worked for the oﬃce of the “Hartz Commission” of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Aﬀairs and for the employment oﬃce in Ravensburg as head of department for job placement and consulting.
In 2003 she took over the Regional Directorate Rhineland-Palatinate-Saarland as operational manager. Three years later, she went back to the head oﬃce of the BA as managing director responsible for the management of the unemployment insurance. As of 2009, Ms. Cordt was the CEO of the Regional Directorate of the BA, ﬁrst in Saxony and from 2014 in Berlin-Brandenburg.
Jutta Cordt was born on August 24, 1963 in Herne and is married.
